Why Polymarket might look down when it is not
A page that will not load is not the same thing as a venue that is not trading. This tool can see the public trade tape and one order book. It cannot see your wifi, your VPN, or a market that already resolved.
If the headline says Up and you still cannot open Polymarket, the venue is answering and your access is the problem. That includes region blocks and a VPN that Polymarket refuses. We cannot see your location, so we will not pretend we can.
Deposit and withdrawal problems are a different question. Those are account and wallet issues, not venue health. Start at deposit wallet help or missing deposit help.
Scheduled maintenance
Maintenance looks like an outage on the tape. Orders pause, the book goes quiet, and people search for whether Polymarket is down. If Polymarket marks a component under maintenance, our headline reads Degraded, not Down.
We do not publish a weekly window. We have not measured one of our own. Confirm live maintenance on Polymarket’s status page. Once our own headline log is long enough to show a pattern, we will date that pattern here.

How do you know if Polymarket trading is working?
We read the public trade tape, we call one live order book, and we read the Predictions trading API row on Polymarket’s status page. If the tape is printing and the book answers, trading is working from where we sit. If their lights are green and those two checks fail, the headline is not Up.
Why does this page disagree with Polymarket's status page?
Because we look at fills and a live book, not only their green lights. Their page reports what they publish. This page reports what we can observe. When those disagree, that disagreement is the reason this page exists.
Is Polymarket undergoing maintenance?
If a component is marked under maintenance on their status page, our headline reads Degraded and this section says so. Maintenance looks like an outage on the tape. Confirm it at status.polymarket.com. We do not name a weekly window we have not measured.
