How to Set Up 2FA on Polycopy
How to turn on 2FA in Polycopy with an authenticator app, save backup codes, remember trusted devices, and manage approved devices from Settings.
Open Security settings
Log into Polycopy and go to Settings. In the 2FA Security section, choose Set up 2FA under 2FA Authenticator App.
Scan the QR code
Open your authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, 1Password, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or iCloud Passwords, and scan the QR code. If scanning does not work, copy the manual setup key into the app.
Enter the 6-digit code
Your authenticator app will show a 6-digit code that changes regularly. Enter the current code in Polycopy and click Verify.
Choose whether to remember this device
Keep Remember this device selected on a private device you trust. Polycopy will remember that browser for 30 days, so you only need 2FA again when signing in from a new or forgotten device. Do not remember shared or public devices.
Save your backup codes
After setup, Polycopy shows backup codes once. Store them in a password manager or another safe place. Each backup code can be used only once if you cannot access your authenticator app.
Manage approved devices
The Approved devices list shows browsers that are remembered for 2FA. Use Sign out next to a device to remove that approval. The next sign-in from that browser will require your authenticator code again.
Turn off 2FA only if needed
Use Disable only if you no longer want authenticator app protection on your account. If you disable 2FA, your account will no longer ask for an authenticator code on new devices.
