I See 'Trading Restricted in Your Region'
What Polymarket's regional restriction error means when it appears in Polycopy, why it can show up transiently, and what to do if it does not clear on its own.
Last updated August 21, 2026
This message comes from Polymarket, not Polycopy. Polymarket blocks trading from a number of regions, and its systems return this error when an order looks like it comes from one of them. Polycopy is passing that message through to you.
Why you might be seeing it
Polymarket restricts trading in several regions. The list is Polymarket's and changes over time, so check Polymarket's geographic restrictions page for the current picture. The error can also appear transiently because of routing issues, which means you can hit it briefly even when you are somewhere unrestricted.
Polycopy can't lift the restriction
The block is enforced by Polymarket at order time, so neither Polycopy nor our support team can override it. What support can do is confirm whether the error you hit was a real regional block or a transient routing issue. That is why a persistent case is worth reporting.
What to do
Wait a few minutes and retry
Transient routing issues clear on their own. If your next attempt goes through, that is all it was.
Check Polymarket's restrictions page
If you are in a listed region, the block is real and applies to all Polymarket trading, not just Polycopy.
If it persists, contact support
If the error keeps appearing for more than a few minutes and you are not in a restricted region, use the Get Help form (the ? icon in the top navigation). Include the time it happened and the market you were trading.
