How to Deposit pUSD on Polymarket

How to fund your Polymarket account with pUSD for trading. Deposit USDC from any supported chain — it converts to pUSD (Polymarket's native collateral) automatically.

1

Understand pUSD

pUSD is Polymarket's native collateral token, backed 1:1 by USDC. All trades on Polymarket's V2 CLOB settle in pUSD. When you deposit USDC, it's automatically converted to pUSD within Polymarket.

2

Go to Polymarket's deposit page

Log into your Polymarket account at polymarket.com and click "Deposit". A direct USDC transfer has to arrive on Polygon — sending USDC on Ethereum mainnet or any other chain will not credit your balance. Polymarket's own deposit screen also offers cross-chain routes that bridge for you; use that screen rather than sending to an address from another chain yourself.

3

Choose your deposit method

You can deposit USDC directly from your wallet, use a card (where available), or bridge from another chain. The USDC is converted to pUSD at a 1:1 ratio — there's no conversion fee from Polymarket.

4

Confirm the transaction

Approve the transaction in your wallet. Depending on the chain, deposits typically confirm within 1–5 minutes. Once confirmed, your pUSD balance appears in Polymarket and is reflected in Polycopy when your wallet is connected.

5

Verify in Polycopy

Polycopy shows Cash and Portfolio in the bar at the top of every signed-in page. Cash is your tradable pUSD, and it is the number a copy can actually spend. An amber dot next to Cash means you still have USDC that has not been converted to pUSD, so convert it on Polymarket first. Settings does not show a balance — it shows which wallet address is connected.
